Emerging Choreographers' Project Blackbox

The Northwest Florida Ballet opens its 2026-2027 season with the student-led Emerging Choreographers' Project Blackbox at the Northwest Florida Ballet Studios on September 11-12 at 7:30 p.m. This intimate performance highlights original choreography created by selected members of the NFB company, featuring an exciting blend of ballet and contemporary works set to a diverse collection of musical styles. A companion visual art exhibition further enhances the experience, showcasing the creativity and artistic vision of emerging artists from the NFB Académie.

The Emerging Choreographers' Project Blackbox represents more than an evening of dance. It reflects the next step in the artistic development of Northwest Florida Ballet's students. Alongside rigorous classical ballet training, dancers are encouraged to explore choreography, musical interpretation and creative storytelling. Building on more than a decade of choreography workshops and informal studio performances, this production has evolved into a fully staged public performance that celebrates the voices, imagination and innovation of the next generation of choreographers.
