Job description:
Northwest Florida Ballet is looking for teachers with strong classical ballet backgrounds in teaching and professional performing experience. We need people who are upbeat, self-motivated, experienced in teaching groups of children and adults and/or have completed dance teacher training, supportive of our team mission, can sub for other teachers, and have experience teaching for ballet schools.
This is an independent contractor position.
NFB is not a dance teacher training center, but we do offer classroom management support and a curriculum framework to follow. We are looking for strong, independent, self-motivated teachers who can operate their own dance classroom, keep good notes and attendance sheets, communicate often and well with NFB staff, parents, and dance students, and keep excellent personal attendance.
Each applicant will need to state which age groups and dance styles they feel most suited to teach.
By applying for this position, you will be joining the part-time pool for consideration as a prospective dance teacher with Northwest Florida Ballet.
Pay: $25.00 per hour. Pay scale is based on professional experience and teaching skills. Teachers may need to audition by teaching a dance class.
