Alice in Wonderland

NFB returns to the MKAC on March 7 at 7:30 p.m. and March 8 at 2:30 p.m. to conclude the 2025/2026 season with the company’s premiere of Alice in Wonderland. Choreographed and conceived by the distinguished choreographer Jill Eathorne Bahr, Alice in Wonderland is an innovative adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s literary masterpiece.

As an original full-length ballet, the production showcases a compelling fusion of neoclassical dance and surreal storytelling, featuring international guest artists and NFB company members set to a meticulously engineered musical score with compositions by renowned French composers.

The enigmatic atmosphere of Alice in Wonderland is captured in both the mesmerizing visually immersive set design with projections created by Israel Rodriguez, which transitions fluidly between vibrant garden landscapes, eerie woodland environments, and a surreal chessboard battlefield through the intricately designed costumes from Travis Halsey and Don Cantwell, which range from the iridescent textures of the Caterpillar to the structured elegance of the Queen of Hearts gown.

A VIP party will be held immediately following the performance on March 7, exclusively for season subscribers, cast, staff, and special guests.
