Shelley trained with the Northwest Florida Ballet 11 years, and went on to graduate summa cum laude with a BFA in Dance from Florida State University. Her training includes summer programs at Orlando Ballet, Sarasota Ballet, Virginia School of the Arts, and San Francisco Conservatory. In January 2007, she had the opportunity to travel to London on an exchange program with Springs Dance Company. She also had the chance to perform with the Sandra Organ Dance Company in the classic Limon piece “There is a Time”. Shelley danced with Ad Deum Dance Company from 2006-2009 where she performed choreography by Steve Rooks from the Martha Graham Dance Company, Hope Boykin from Alvin Ailey Dance Company, and Caleb Mitchell from Houston Ballet. In November 2008, she traveled to Malaysia with Ad Deum performing and teaching dance workshops. The summer of 2009 opened doors for Shelley to work with Youth With a Mission Kings’ Kids and Operation Mobilization. She traveled to Hungary, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy performing, teaching, and choreographing dances. Her choreography has traveled to South Africa, Rwanda, and Portugal with Kings‘ Kids International. Shelley is a certified Pilates instructor through Peak Pilates in mat, Reformer, Cadillac, and chair.
