Sharon Allen
Sharon Allen, who holds BFA in Dance from Radford University, studied with North Carolina School of the Arts, Richmond Ballet, and Boston Ballet School. She has performed with Ballet Theatre of Boston, Boston Dance Co., Impulse Dance Co., Mill Mountain Theatre and Southwest Virginia Ballet.
Ms. Allen taught ballet and jazz for the Harvard-Radcliffe Dance Department, Jeanette Neill Dance Studio-Boston, Fort Wayne Ballet, and the University of West Florida and is a certified instructor of Pilates through PhysicalMind Institute and Pilates Certification Center. She has studied acting with The Studio @ Collinge/Pickman Casting in Cambridge, Massachusetts and has been featured in Back Stage Magazine, New York City.
Ms. Allen has enjoyed teaching students of all ages for over 22 years. She and her husband, Todd Eric Allen have made significant contributions to the arts in Northwest Florida for the past 13 years in the developmment of the Northwest Florida Ballet company, in founding a free integrated arts and academic education program for 3rd-8th grade boys and girls, and in producing a successful regional summer dance program. Most recently Ms. Allen’s choreography has also received recognition at Panoply Arts Festival.
